I just switched to Ushio 250w 10k SE bulbs from my old hamilton 10k and WOW it only been on for a few hours and i cant believe how much more crisp and white this bulb is then the hamilton ever was. totally worth the switch and the hamilton is only a couple of months old!

That's interesting. I thought the Hamilton 10k was supposed to be one of the most "crisp white" of all the 10k lamps. I don't exactly consider the Ushio 10k to be the most "white" of the 10k lamps.

Anyone know how the Ushio 10k bulbs compare to the Reeflux 10k bulb?

I've used both. Much of it depends on the ballast you are using. For example, on the PFO HQI ballasts (which is what I use) the Ushio has a considerably higher PAR value but the Reeflux has a more obvious blue spike.

Take a look at this page to compare some of the lamps:

The Ushio seems brighter to the eye if that is important to you. I love the Ushio lamp but I'd give the edge in color to the Reeflux. You'll probably want actinic supplementation with either of them.

Hope this helps.
