Just thought i'd show off my S. Gigantea's..

Somehow completely missed this. Been well. Traveling a lot for work. Went to Ft. Worth for two weeks, in St. Louis right now. Get to come home for Thanksgiving though.
Is that both Gigs? Or has one gotten ridiculously large?

haaha the one has grown significantly large, and the smaller one is in a tank of its own, It was acting funny like 2 weeks before i left for my NY trip, so before i left, i decided to move it to its own tank, since i knew id be gone for 3 weeks, and didnt know how it'd fan out, but i returened and everything ti fine, and both gigs are 100% gorgeous still
so i guess i didnt have to worry about anything haha..
And to everyone else, Thank you for the compliments
i love having not 1 but 4 of these beautiful creatures..

they were 3W Dimmable Cree LeD's with a 1/1 ration blue/white.. i had whites at 65% and blues at 85% ... i think over a course of 2 weeks i slowled ramped up the % over time.. i think i droped it down to a 45%W / 65% B ratio was the lowest point...
but i actually took those LeD's off and i currently have 2 250W Metal Halides over it, to see if i can get better color out of my SPS, imo the S. Gig's loved both the LeD's and the MH and virtually saw no change in the anemone when switching, only reason i switched for strictly for the sps, to see what htey would do for me

here's a pic of my other S. Gig i havent really shown off yet in my 150g hosting a Pink Skunk this combo is growing on me.. brother got it for me about 1 1/2 months ago when i away in new york helping with the hurricane restoration... it has colored up really quicky (still has a way to go i know) in the short period we have had it... im assumin it really enjoys sitting under that 400W MH

This one brought my collection to a total of 4 S. Gig's as of now... and im still on the hunt for a Green one
... maybe someday.

I put them in my tanks knowing they are gonna move around...so i set em where id like but they usually move to where they like and stay....but that doesnt mean they will stay there...in the anemone section a guy had his gig stay put forever....then ine day it moved 5 inches to the left and wiped out abunch of his acros.. Heh so they r def high risk...but worth it to me
So the gigantea in the middle of the tank is one large one, or two?
Do you have any idea the diameter when fully expanded?

i would honestly say close to 20-22'' ... i havent officially measured, but if all his folds/flaps were stretched out... and layed down... i would honestly say he is close to that 20''-22'' area... i could be wrong though.. the tank he is in, is 4' long, and he takes up almost half the tank by himself so.. thats what im going off of to come up with that measurement.. and yes, that is 1 big s. gig in the middle.
