just upgrade my lights...

I've been researching T5 for a few months and I generally have seen 6 bulbs recommended. So with 8 bulbs and good reflectors you should be able to have anything you want. All though you may have to hide some lower light corals in caves and under arches.

I would think that you should be able to keep almost anything (( assuming other requirements are met ))

Do you have any corals in the tank now? If yes, are you acclimating them to the new lights?

I hade a 4x54 watt T5 on my 55 gallon and could grow anything. I had T. Squamosa clam on the sand, orange monti cap, 2 BTA, etc. It's more light than you think, so just be sure to keep low-light corals down near the bottom of the tank

Algae will only grow faster if you already have excess nutrients in the tank.
