Juv clownfish tail damage

Hi, I have 2 small (1") ocellaris clownfish. Their behavior is telling me that one is taking on the role of dominant female, and the other the male. My question is the male has some damage to his tail fin and I was wondering of this will heal with time? The other fish does not seem to be attacking him, but will get aggressive and then he will do the shaking like crazy thing. I don't remember the tail damage when I got them, but it is there now. He also swims with his dorsal fins held close to the body while the other fish the dorsal fins are always up. Does that mean anything? Both fish have been in the tank for over a month, and are eating fine. Water params are: ph 8.2, 0 amm, 0 ites, 10 ates, 450 ca, 1320 mg, and 8.3 dkh, 1.025 sg. Thanks for any help.

I've had one Ocellaris totaly destroy the tail on another. With time and good conditions it'll grow back. My fish's tail took about 21 days to grow back to normal size.

Melafix actually has some reports of being harmful to fish more than helpful.

If you follow the directions to a T and do it in a QT tank (with saltwater) you almost never have a harmful experience. I have used it many times to treat wounds and what not, Just dont dose it in a display tank when it comes to saltwater. and make sure to do a water change after

As I said, it has some reports (meaning not every experience, just a few) of being harmful to fish (meaning it's possibly unsafe for the fish even if it does treat the wound).
