I bought to small juvi tomato clown thinking that as they are very small(1.5"-2") they ll pair up at some point.Now the LFs guy put them in the same bag and when I got home I noticed that small one was nipped a bit badly.In QT they both didnt nipped or didn't started a death match but the big one some time chases the small one but no nipping.After like 8 hours and lights of I noticed that teh small one was laying on his side breathing heavily.So I took him out and a made a QT for him in 3 G bucket using the QT water and a colonized sponge for filtration with aeration.I used half dose of methylene blue to ease breathing and help in general.
Now the Question is should I wait and put them back together in the DT after QT and cross my fingers for getting a mated pair or should I just return one ?
The DT is a 7 month old 20 G FOWLR tank.
Please help me decide.
