K1 stirrer & tune ato

Im trying to connect the tunze ato to the k1 stirrer and the tunze tube doesn't seem to fit into the push fitting. Is their an adapter of some sort? Ive read that some folks have the 2 hooked up but they don't go into detail as to how they got the tube to fit.

This will probably work:

One end goes into the push fitting, the other is barbed for 1/4" ID tubing. You could then use a tubing adaptor for larger tubing if necessary:
