K9s 20g Reef - Warning: Image Intense!

Not exactly. My two Maxi-Jet 600s in the tank circulate a combined 320gph. My Maxi-Jet 1200 return from the refugium pumps 295gph at 0' of head, but it's pumping a vertical 3.5' or so. My best estimate is that it's moving around 150-175gph. That would give me a combined total somewhere around 470-495gph or 23.5-24.75 times turnover. I like that huge toadstool! I have a toadstool in my 5gal and it is growing like a rocket! It will probably have to be transfered to my 38gal here shortly. -although, I alredy have 3 toadstools (2 are smaller) in that tank. lol.

No, no more SPS in this tank for me. I'm actually considering a few options. I'm either going to make it LPS dominated or I'll try to get my hands on every possible color of zoanthid and ricordea I can and just let them overrun the tank.pimp2daizzo said:

You shoudl try some sps thats not hard to keep like the sps i have in my 5, but i forgot the name i'll look it up at work for you.one good thing about mine is that it's cheap.

My tank will be covered with Rics and Zoas and then there will be this HUGE Toadstool sitting in one of the corners :lol:. I love that coral. I don't think I'll ever frag it!

Wendy, I'm definitely sure I don't want any more SPS in this tank. I'm actually already planning on selling/trading my Galaxy coral in exchange for some more Rics and Zoas so I can get this colorful project going. You are right on about their ability to withstand some less-than-pristine water conditions. That's what I need right now though since I'm so busy with work during the day and classes at night. I need an easy, low maintenance tank that I can just enjoy when I come home from work at night and not have to worry about having enough flow, enough light, clean enough water, something bleaching or RTNing, etc. Something colorful to look at is enough for me.
