Kalk and AF

fessoclown

Dis-Membered
Hi,
My tank is roughly 666L total volume.
ALK- 7.8 Salifert
CAL-430 Salifert
MAG- 1450- Salifert
P04 - 0 - Hanna
NITRATE - .02 Salifert

I am currently(about 1 month) using Probiotic Salt, Coral A, B, E and V as well as Pro Bio-S. I dose a wee bit of vinegar as my carbon source because NP-Pro isn't available on Amazon.ca (I am in Canada and it is quite cost prohibitive. The shipping costs more than the product and I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger)

Anyway,
I use Kalk to keep my Calcium and Alk stable. I am able to do so for now. Once the kalk can't keep up I will switch to component1+2+3+
What is the recommendation for those who use Kalk in terms of trace elements? I was considering using Components Strong. Would that be the correct route?

If I understand you correctly, this is what you would need to do if you wanted to cover all trace under the AF umbrella from a trace mineral standpoint, if using kalk to cover alk and ca..

iodum Supplement for blue and purple colour enhancement 1 drop per 100 l
strontium Supplement for skeletal strength and branching 1 drop per 100 l
fluorine Supplement for blue and white colour enhancement 1 drop per 100 l
kalium Supplement for pink and red colour enhancement 1 drop per 100 l
iron Supplement for green colour enhancement 1 drop per 100 l
micro e Complex of heavy metals for marine organisms 1 drop per 100 l

Plus
Magnesium
Reef Mineral Salts

These are all present and alk and ca in the premixed formula. This is also the same in the dry lineup excluding component strong.
