I have a TLF kalk reactor. It is my first time using kalk and I have had it running for about a month. I added the recomended amount of kalk but the instructions say to fill it once every 2 weeks or once per week at higher evaporation rates. Yes after about 3 weeks there is plenty of kalk.
I noticed that kalk buildup seems to loose its ability to keep the PH up so I started to add kalk weekly. That keeps the PH up but wont all this unused ineffective kalk build up in the reactor? Thus needing to be cleakes out periodically?
So while replacing kalk I keep a stable PH. but if I add the recomended dosage every week it will be a cake soon enough...
