Kalk Reactor

Sup all, I'm about to completely change my auto top off system. I currently am using a JBJ with way too small a tank. I want to place a large water container next to my stand using a Niveaumat Top Off Water Replacer from Dr. Foster & Smith and a Kalk Reactor in line. I've been searching like crazy but can't find anything less than $200.00 bux. Does anyone have one for sale or know of someone/someplace that sells or will make me one for about that or hopefully less? Any help is always greatly appreciated.

I just put together a kalk reactor for about $20 from PVC and misc fittings. It's pretty simple really. A 3" diameter body (all I had room for) with a wide flange on the bottom and a screw cap on top. It fits in the sump next to my skimmer. I'll gravity feed water through it from my topoff container. My plan is to dial it down to a slow trickle - less than what my tank evaporates, and let the float valve maintain the overall water level. Instead of a stirrer or pump that would require maintenance, I'll just shake it up periodically (like the Tunze calcium dispenser). Low tech, but I think it will accomplish what I need.

Check with Chrisaggie, I remember he was selling his to buy a bigger one, otherwise there is a company that mostly sells on ebay that have a nice design and inexpensive kalk reactor I think the name is fish bowl innovations
