I have used a 40 gal tank and just mixed kalk for quite a wile. It seems ok. I was thinking of getting a kalk reactor, it seems like most have john guest fittings and ice maker hose. what pumps will drive these things.

I use a litermeter currently but I dose from a premixed 32 gallon brute can vs. a kalk reactor.

do you think the aqualifter pump can move water 3 feet. If not I may have to raise my water tank. How about the airline hose, will this fit into a john guest fitting. (I do not know who john is but did he have to name it that?)

I used the aqualifter on my Reactor and hated it. I don't think it will pump @3 feet. I ended up making a retro using some parts I found at Home Depot and a maxi jet 1200.

reef filler here... but only because its located in the garage.. in the house it would be too loud. I have used reef fillers to pump up into the attic of a 2 story house, across the whole length of the house and into the tank.... they will push a looonnngg ways.

I use an Aqua Medic SP3000 dosing pump with a JBJ auto top off and a ReefTek kalk reactor. Been very happy with the whole setup and I run it from a trash can outside to my gravity fed fuge 8' up so 3' would be cake.

Aqua Medic SP3000 dosing pump here as well controlled by my AQ III Pro. It runs like a champ. Just be sure to put a check valve between your reactor and which ever pump you use.

Cheers!

I use a modified kangaroo 324 peristaltic pump pumping topoff water through an airtight container of lime.

I used an Aqualifter and kalk bucket for a while. One should pump 3ft and 2 inline definitely will
