kalk

I am setting up my litermeter, and would like to use the same tank for new water. It is looking like I will need to have 2 float valves, one for the tank, and one for water changes

Depending on your alk needs the kalk might not be strong enough.I find it does stabalize alk, calcium, and raise ph,but in a high demand tank its not enough to keep up levels. You will have to test and see.It might be enough for your tank.

I test and sometimes the levels are a bit low, not much though.
So I usually dose a 2 part system to keep it in check

Ya, i had my eye on that auqa medic doser, but for some odd reason my wife thought the litermeter was the way to go. So I snatched one up and the rest is history. I like to be told what to do sometimes, especially when it comes to purchaseing reef related items

I have heard its good. Its going to take some practice finding to right amount to dose.I have alk at 9 dkh and calcium at 440 ppm.I find since dosing on a regular basis keeping steady levels my corals are growing very fast.
