Also, best to use a 1/4 inch line (use a 1/4" adapter glued into a half-inch hose from say, a maxijet as an ATO pump) to deliver the kalk: it keeps the kalk entering your sump to a modest trickle, not a firehose.
currently my rodi water is delivered via toms aqualifter. if i went the route of a pump i would use it as i already have it. and i could just replace the plain rodi top off tank with something to hold the kalk.
