Im currently using the drip method for dosing calcium, it sucks cause it needs adjusting all the time.

Im wanting to use some kinda float valve connected to the kalkwasser then my sump area, instead of the drip method im currently using. Any good products out there that are good for this you guys know of.?

Thanks,
dv

I know if you use a kent float valve for this it will get incrusted with calcium and may stick open.

What you can do is use the kent float valve for fresh water and slow your drip rate down on your kalk. This way if the lime water donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t keep up with evaporation the float will make up the difference with fresh water, this is how I have my tank set up.

so you really dont think i can use the kent float valve for this, what else could i use...?

My main purpose of this proposal is to illiminate the drip method, I have to continuously adjust this thing to drip at 1 rate several several times a day when using kalkwasser...somtimes it stops after a few minutes. I dont even wanna bother with the drip anymore it really is draging.

So I thought a float valve would be very bennificial to elliminate this hastle.

I use a float valve connected to my kalk reactor. I bought a polyproplene float valve from US plastics and it works great. I clean it once a month and it has performed flawlessley for a year.
