Kalkwasser reactor

Hey guys I am looking into a kalkwasser reactor as I am tired of manually dripping kalkwasser. I've tried to put it into my ATO but it would clog up my pump. Does anybody have any recommendations on one that has worked well for them?

I somewhat understand the concept basically connect it to your ato and kalkwasser is pumped out. I would like to get one with a stirrer inside. My tank is a 50 gallon cube but will eventually get a 120 gallon so would like it to work with my future build as well.

I have looked into the K1 but have not found a video or instructions on how to get it actually set up. Thanks for the help

I️ mix 20 ml's of kalk in 5 gallons of make up water weekly. Been using an aqualifter pump for multiple years now without any issues.

I'm assuming you want to use your existing ATO solution to run the reactor (k1). Can you give a little info on the on ATO you are running now and what "pumps" the water to your sump?

Here is a link by the way if you are just looking for instructions. I think you may be over thinking it. The k1 is very popular, but I think there is a reason why they don't have a video on it. It's really that simple. :)

I️ love my K1 reactor. Very simple to set up and works flawlessly. Unlike Johnmf, I️ tried adding kalk to my topoff water while using an aqualifter pump but it would eventually clog from the kalk. Once I️ stopped adding kalk to the make up water I️ never had my pump clog again.

Thanks! This link had explained it. I thought I would be much more complicated. I am using a Auto aqua smart Ato.

Has anybody bought the diy kit? Is it worth the money saved to do it yourself?
