That blue tip staghorn is beautiful. Does it have a common name? Where did you get it?

I don't know the name of it , want to know the name too. I got it from a lfs here . The color is getting every day better and a fast grower. It's a wild piece.

yes it's from reeflink. If you can't decode it , just let me know and i will write my schedule here so you can know what my setting is.

Yeah, no luck figuring out the schedule code. An interesting thing I noticed with my sps is that the horizontal surfaces seem to have good color but the vertical surfaces seem to be washed out and/or brown in color.

The more I read about light intensities, most of the people suggesting 45-55% intensities on tanks our size are running dual XR30w Pros, not XR15w Pros. I think the fact that we're essentially running half the lights, we need to turn up our intensities.

I set myself a reminder to increase my peak intensity by 5% each week (currently at 55%) and see how my sps react. I made a couple adjustments to my current schedule changing my peak intensity from 3 hours to 4 hours and adjusting my main ramp up/down to be 3 hours.

I'm hoping to get my corals to look half as nice as yours!

Hey Kaman, I'm curious, are you using the pre-installed 80 degree lenses or the optional 120 degree lenses on your XR15w Pros?

I'm using the 80 degree lenses. I can cover my whole tank with it. The sides Don't have shadows. I will post my whole schedule tomorrow for you. :)

Take your time, I really appreciate your info. I'm using the 80 degree lenses as well. I think PAR diminishes significantly with the 120 degree lenses.

i promised to post my whole schedule here for peoples that can't decode the reeflink.

Very interesting on your light schedule, thanks! I really appreciate you taking the time to enter all that in. Your tank is clearly successful and I think it will help a lot of people like me running XR15w's.

It looks like during peak intensity you're running somewhere around 18k-20k (according to my Apex). I have a "party" mode on my Apex so I'm going to mess around with your settings and see what it looks like. I've been steadily increasing my peak intensity, this week I'm up to 65% peak.

My tank is not that successful . I have some problem with my ssc. The shaded part in the middle is bleaching, but there is still polyps. Just moved it a little so the light can reach there and hoping that it will colouring up again. I'm thinking if I should frag in case the whole colony will stn .

Am I reading the light schedule correctly that your lights flip on at 60% intensity at 12:15pm with no ramp up? I'm used to most light schedules being a sort of bell curve which is why this one confuses me a little.

My day start at 11.00 and it will ramp up to 60% at 12.15 and i only turn on the blues and purple. There is no white .
