And my school of bartlett
IMG_6932_zpsljlxmwot.jpg

I bought 5 bartlett's at the same time and 1 was supermale and 2 was male and 2 was female. They had no problem at all 3 males and there was no aggression, but after a couple of weeks suddenly the 2 males has changed back to female. I didn't know that they can do that. I always thought that female will turn male , but i didn't know that male can turn back to female. So know i have 1 supermale and 4 females.

Your corals continue to look great. I love my Bartletts too. I started with a trio of 1 male, 2 females but one female carpet surfed in the first month. Since then the two remaining have been going strong. I've considered adding a couple more females to the harem.

I've been playing with your light program and really like it. It uses themes I've never really tried before such as lower White and MUCH lower Green and Red. I wonder if this will help with my cyano issue as well...? Have you ever had issues with cyano?

I also like how you vary the levels throughout the day. I was primarily using my 14k setting (lazy!) and not varying the lighting levels. I made an adjustment to your sunrise to more mirror your sunset, but I'm using pretty much spot on with your settings. I really appreciate you sharing!

I know a few persons that is using the xr30pro and there intensivity is 100% too. No cyano or algea for me (Knock on the wood) . I expert very heavy and I also carbon dosing. I'm using Red Sea nopox and really like it.

Love your tank. I was wondering what your carbon dosing routine is.

I'm dosing every day 1.8 ml nopox at the moment until my nitrates is back to 0,5 and then I will cut the dosing to half again till I see the nitrates or phosphate is going up and then I will dose 1.8 again. I'm very happy with the nopox , I'm using it for a long time already.

Thank you for the reply! It seems the nopox has been working very well for you :lolspin: . How much do you feed per day? My tank has a somewhat open scape like yours and I am meticulous about cleaning it as it seems you are as well and I am having a problem with too low of nutrients I think.

My frags are starting to get pretty light. I am about to add 3 Bartletts to my DT after they are quarantined so I'm hoping that will bring my nutrients up a little. My current maintenance is two 10 percent water changes a week and GFO in a reactor. When I tested yesterday I was at undetectable nitrates and phosphates. I am thinking I might try zeovit just for the aa supplements :hammer:

Either way keep the pics coming! One of my favorite tanks!

I feed 2 times a day and everytime 2 frozen cubes. 10% wc weekly and siphon sandbed with every wc. If you have such low nutrients it's better to do once wc a week. Or you should feed the fish more. I have a very heavy bioload, 16 fish but will pull out 2 fish soon.

Thanks , will post more pics :D

Kaman, where do you get your exotic SPS from in Hong Kong? Can you PM me the address so I can go check it out?

I got some from local forum and some from friends. Have to be lucky from local forum , because it's always gone very fast. I did sold a few frags today :p

Looking very nice.

That NOPOX is good stuff. 10 days for me to go from 15 nitrates down to 2 using as directed with no side effects.

Haven't update for a while , my computer was down. Last week i have change a bit on the aquascape , took the rocks of the right side out and put some new rocks in. Feel free to comment what you like better , old scape or new scape :)

Bought the new Vortech mp40 quietdrive to replace the riptide. It's really dead silent :) I like the riptide that there is really no dead areas in my tank , but cleaning it is really frustrating. The vortech is way easier to clean it and the small footprint and no wire in tank looks still better.
