At the angle you can't really tell how close she was to me. They know their food goddess. I took a couple, that's the best one. At one point they were both right next to my lips but, alas, that is obviously not when I took the picture.

Haha now that's the best looking pic I've seen all day! I bet your clown adores you! Tank looks awesome and you should be proud!
 
Katie, how far are you from Phoenix? My mom will be there for a week at the end of Feb. Maybe she could sneak my flame hawkfish in her suitcase and give it to you. Darn thing pulled all the legs off my arrow crab, now it's just an arrow head. hehe

His head with the point included is about 2 inches and the legs are 3-4 inches long stretched out. He started out with 10 legs like all crabs and yesterday he had one claw and a leg on each side. Now he's laying on his side with one half a leg. Poor thing. I hope something in the tank feeds him or he's a goner. Blasted flame hawkfish must of thought he was a shrimp. In all the literature it says flame hawks will kill ornamental shrimp. That's why I can't keep a cleaner shrimp so I decided to get craby since he looks imposing like a spider and all. I figured the hawk would leave him alone.

I need to get another cleaner shrimp. How long is their life span? I think mine was 5 before she passed :(
she used to clean my hands whenever I had them in the tank. I have a fire shrimp that has buddied up with my yellow watchmen. They burrow together which is different.
 
I like how blue your clam is, can I ask what you paid for it? All the clams online are ugly colors, very expensive and online is my only choice.

Sorry, I've been out of town.

I bought it for $40 I think at club reef. Amazing deal. I love it. When they have clams they are awesome and for a steal price. It's even more gorgeous in person.
 
Update!

Still having mild hair algae problem, it's kept pretty well at bay by picking it out once a week with water changes. The elegance was struggling for awhile but seems to be improving as I've stayed up on water changes. Really I think it is just starting to adjust to the new love it's been getting from little boy clown.

I got a new fish! Two actually. One is a little bimaculatus blenny that immediately disappeared into the rocks never to be seen again.

The second is a clingfish from LA DD! It's a red Caribbean clingfish. I've had it for maybe 2 weeks now. He/she is adorable! Now eating from my fingers.

Yesterday I was feeding and the clingfish and emerald crab were fighting over the mysis in my fingers. I wish I would have gotten it on video.

And yes, my emerald crab comes running from it's nook in the rocks the moment it sees my hand and eats from my fingers. His name is George.

I have the best little critters.

Updates!

Well, I've been out of town a lot lately, so I just did my first water change in almost a month. And shockingly... It was the cleanest I've ever seen it, even with vacuuming the gravel.

I think this has a lot to do with me almost exclusively feeding by autofeeder with NLS pellets. Except for when I hand feed the clingfish.

The corals are pretty out if control. Except the elegance, the boy clown has pretty much loved it to death.
