okay gang...here it is..the new 120g in my livingroom. Lizz got to see it up close and personal today..and a huge thanks to my RC buds and two theater buddies for helping me get this home. I am lovin' having people over to see my tanks...two complete, one just started. I feel a party will be in order soon.:celeb2:

120g new home...first step, two braces in the basement under floor.

visable viewing areas from the love seat and the bench at the entrance to the parlor. 1920 home...the parlor is home to a 1810 antique pump organ from EB carpenter company...signed and dated. still plays hauntingly.

so i am going to need some help. already have a pump and skimmer lined up (thanks, guys)...Mel to plumb...mreye23 to stack...right now i am looking for a 55g or 75g for a sump. this will be sumped to the basement....the tank is quite nicely situated above a pantry in the basement that will house everything i need...including the proposed ro/di system i am building for the entire house. Taking ideas, suggestions and HELP!

Thank you everyone, for your friendship, your kindness and support. It has been incredible.:)

p.s. that painting is an original Al Hogue that was bought from Wayland Galleries in Hawaii on my honeymoon. It has a number of personal touches from Al himself, so it is...a one of a kind. It's called Banyan Moon...and this artist is one of my biggest inspirations for my own work.

Isn't is so exciting to put together a live piece of art....God's amazing creation in our homes.....I love the beginning of setting up...all that goes into research to planning to research and more planning......then the day comes to buy....wow what a great day.
Good luck....I love this!

thanks, Sean...i'm like a little kid right now.....because this will be the showpiece in the house. not that the 90g isn't...but the 90g is in my bedroom. the 55g is in the studio....so those are more private viewing areas...however, this weekend, my theater buds who hadn't been over since before christmas got a chance to see the 90g and they were blown away. And i love watching people when they see a reef tank in someone's home for the first time. Ross even told me, shoot, i can give up my zoo pass and just bring my kids here!

I am starting the research and planning on a 150 (60x24x24) that will be an in wall at my church......it will be a while but it will be well worth the wait.....I have a 75 that is getting full of live rock just waiting to be used.....Starting to collect what i need...so i can sense how excited you are.....

I personally cant wait for Sean to start the church tank! Its going to be a big project (quite understated actually). Did the mall still have a fountain when you went? It used to have a Hills Dept store too(I miss that). Now it is mostly empty except for the bon ton, jcpennys and a couple other stores. Wall mart killed our mall! :uzi:I say that while i just left there at 1:15 am lol.

yes, the fountain was there. some awesome shops...one of a kind clothing stores...sooooooooooooo miss the road trips out that way...such a beautiful drive!

it looks like all three of us have some exciting days ahead of us...i really can't wait...but i have learned that a great reef tank takes time...and a truly stunning one takes planning...and when i'm all done? It's open house time at kat's. which should time out nicely with BBQ weather!

So, ill come over next weekend, Mreye Stack, water change and two fish....280 dollars......now thats a deal!

gotta brace floor, plumbing, set up sump....then we can do that! dude...let's worry about your tank first!!! lol.

lol it was joke come on now i know u got the joke but anyways lol im gonna fill my tank up tmrw and start adding salt but i cant wait to see yours, it will be fun to stack, bc its the same depth as mine so i can get you a truly good depth stack like mine

You might miss our "mall" but I miss nick tahoes!! When I worked for national ambulance I lived (and got chubby ) on late night food from there. I miss the Lilac fest also .. they always had nice tour routes set up. I am exited for you new tank.. I might have to see how u set up your basement sump up and "steal"/ borrow some ideas from you.

no problem! yum. nick tahoes. you just made me hungry....Lilac festival is still wonderful...i am one of the vendors there every year with my artwork...but in all honesty...i go just to be able to be there all weekend with a choice parking space so i can take in the sights, sounds (awesome bands) and smells of those beautiful blossoms! sumping to the basement is going to be AWESOME. can't wait!

ok, ok...back to topic. looks like this may go a little quicker than i anticipated. There's a pending trip to NYC this weekend, but hopefully while i'm gone the braces can be done at the house. talking aloud now...clean out the pantry, get the sump in there, p/u skimmer and pump, get pvc piping planned out and put together (Mel, gonna need a list of what i will need), have plumbing party. Stack/sand/fill party. Cycle. Am I missing anything?
