thanks, gals. Shawna, will most likely be painting the natural wood, because the stand is black...but now ya got me thinking...maybe i can strip the wood on the base.....oh man, here we go.....

ok gang...tonight...I AM PAINTING THE INSIDE OF THE CANOPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! And watching a spooky movie...which is probably a bad idea....but this is going to be a good night....painting...homemade pasta primavera with alfredo sauce....and a Pipeline or two. God....I am lovin' this!

Lowes. Rust Oleum Marine Topside. Gloss White. Doesn't even smell too bad...but i've been smelling it for about 6 hours...which could explain why i'm a little wired right now...

sweet is it ok for reef use?
i have only heard of people using epoxy not paint

well, they use it on boats that spend their lives on saltwater....it's not supposed to crack, chip, peel or erode...it's heat and cold resistant and now i'm thinking...i've got a couple of rust spots on my car.....

it doesn't seem to contain any metal fillers...i am assuming it's okay.

nothing wrong with that.
i did some checking, looks like 100% latex is okay. i'm going to seal it with a clear epoxy, though, just in case. If you are worried...so am I. lmao.
