Kat's 90g

(yup, for sure good names!)

another FANTASTIC day out in the reefing world....ahhhhhhh.

so here was the idea

go to Tim's classroom...do some fragging...see this FANTASTIC system (you should all go out there...it really is quite beautiful and some awesome coral colonies)....and then meet up with Dan to drive out to ARC. Oh call me crazy but it was the best day I have had in a week.

New adds (sorry RC peeps, had to turn lights off, so pics tomorrow):

a nice chunck of minty green cap (Tim)
a two head baby Aussie froggie (brown stems NEON EYE POPPING GREEN tips, Dave)
....then out to ARC:

a beautiful acro that i can't I.D....but it is a blue-ish purple with yellow tips.
a paly colony...3"x2" red, burgandy, orange, yellow eyes...gorgeous.
a SWEET birdsnest...not typical...will get pics...stay tuned.
and a daring addition...but my favorite choice of the day
... a perfect little Kohl Tang. (Sally, my yellow tang, quickly established her territory...and they retreated to opposite sides of the tank.)

Thanks to Randy and Cali for staying open a little later for us!

It was so good hanging out with all of you today!

(oh, btw...i almost picked up a sweetlips at CF sunday until they told me that they were not reef safe. did not know that.)

wow kat things are looking great! Love the new additions be carefull adding too man things at once though too many things at one time can cause some serious issues

yeah i know...test kit is on a TV tray next to the tank.....two times a day, man! So far, so good. Just did a major clean yesterday with water change. looking for one more fish for the 90g, then i'm done for awhile...running outta real estate...lol.

Taking interesting fish suggestions.......

You think your out of real estate now just think about what happens in a few years when they all double in size

I think there are two options here:

option 1: Upgrade when the time comes. I've always liked this option but its just sooo much work.

option 2: Begin weeding out what you really dont like. Fill the tank with high quality livestock that makes the tank AMaZIng. (unfortunately since upgrade is not an option for some... this works too)

oh i forgot about option 3: set up another tank! and keep the old one

option 3....my son wants a tank in his room.....but i'm gonna need to put a lock on the top because he messes with his freshwater tank all the time. one chiclid in there going, "what the heck??????" lol.

hey gang...i wanted to let you know that i started a blog on my Visitor page...that you can post in. Planning on going back to the studio tonight and finishing/starting a canvas. Feel free to come hang out....share a campfire story or two....last year a few of us watched a Thunder Storm together...

well, pretty excited...did some of my own fragging...(saving containers now...lol) and a new addition from Shawna - very very pretty brain. Pics tomorrow...lights out for tonight...been busy cleaning the tank all evening. Love my 90g!

Thanks!:)

I'm not a huge fan of selling...trading? yes. Mostly, if there is something you want...and i have it? Pretty much just ask.

I just set up this 40g rr breeder, and ready to get something bigger ,so i don't want to stock this thing anymore yet ... Just have not made up my mind on what to buy yet.

i went from the 55g to a 90g. At first, the 90g felt huge...now? not so huge. lol. Guess that's just the way it is in this hobby!

I know the feeling, I went from 56 tall too 75 and just set up a 120 when I moved 3 months ago. And the wife has the nerve to say lets knock down a wall for a 180 or bigger :furious: All the begging and pleading I have done and she waits until I finish the 120!! Oh well I guess I just have to have 2!!:celeb1:
