Im trying to decide on what fish to stock my 12g nanocube i know im going to have a pair of false percs i want a third fish im in love with the midas blenny but i have heard mixed thoughts on keeping it in a 12gallon i had one before in my exs 12g before and i really want to keep one again.. what are your thoughts? thank you

They get pretty big at ~6". I wouldn't do it. If you want something smaller the yellow watchman goby only gets to ~3". Also, 2 ocellaris in a 12g is pretty tight.

Those fish get fairly long and are free swimmers, I'd think a 12g would just be too small. Especially if are going to have a pair of clowns in there. Thats a lotta fish!!

How about a tailspot blenny, or one of the fang blennies if you want something less rock hugging? I agree that a 12g is a bit too small for a midas long term, IMO.

A clown goby might work. They stay small, similar colors.

I like the Midas Blenny too because of its bright color and unique swimming motion (shared by all blennies), but they like an open water column. I have had three over the years, and they all were open water swimmers.
