keeping brine shrimp hatchery warm?

My set up is in the basement so i was wondering if temp will be an issue. This my first time getting this far. Any ideas?

How large is your hatchery? When I was using Imhoff cones in the lab, they were big enough too just chuck a heater in the cone. Doing small coke bottle sized hatcheries at home, I just did them upstairs where it was reasonably warm. If doing the coke bottle thing in the basement, I would have set it up inside a larger tank with a heater...a nice heated water bath for the hatchery ;)

Do u think the silicone i use to seal the hose in the cap would be an issue for the fry if i put the bottle in same tank

I use 1 liter bottles and don't even seal the cap, just closed tight. I just put them in my sump to keep the temperature up and so they also get some light.

I have a 1 liter bottle hatchery also and keep it on a shelf in my basement. I have a 60 watt light bulb about 3 inches away. plenty of light and keeps it right temp. summer I move it a little farther away. Cheap and easy

I have been hatching brine shrimp in my basement in this hatchery or another one like it for over 40 years with no problems. If it gets cold, they take longer to hatch to a point. You can't freeze them or get really cold ot they won't hatch.
This one also seperates the egg shells.
