Keeping Majestic Angel with Blue Face Angel

I tried it 15 years ago and ended up taking the Majestic back to the fish store. They where adults, if you want to try buy juvies

Yeah, juvi large angels acclimate much better than adults and its easier to change their natural diet to what you feed. I was on an Angel binge for a long time and kept these two together in a 240 for several years with no problem. I think an 8' tank would be better; but we can't always do "perfect". If you introduce both at about the same size and at the same time; I'll think you'll like the results. The Blue Face will probably be the Alpha fish, so expect some pecking order type squabbles.

I have kept both of these fish in my 180 with multiple angels but never together. I currently keep a 6 inch adult majestic and it is the mellowest Pomacanthus I have ever kept, just an awesome fish that keeps getting more beautiful as it grows. It shares the 180 with a 5 inch female meridithi and a little 3 inch blueline angel and is the boss of the tank but is a very mellow fish.

My blueface was in the same system earlier and became very aggressive and had to be removed. You have a larger tank and this helps and I think that if you get a small to medium adult majestic (juvies are hard to find) and a juvie blueface and have enough hiding places you should be fine and should be able to keep these two.

I agree with MrTusk, the BF will likely get larger, grow faster, and be the dominant fish.
