keeping non reef fish in a reef tank

I think defining the fish species being kept is as important as defining the "reef" it's going into. My FO has more coral than some people's reefs.

Sdguy, Can I ask what kind of fo do you keep I like them so much more than reef safe fish.
Michael what kind of butterfly fish are the two white and black ones

Well he really likes zoas he is eating them on the back of my rocks I did not even know there were any there/. He went right for a small pink colony on my sand Iput them in the other tank. he tried a nip of an extremely aggressive brain I have with stingers all over it. It must have stung him because he started twitching and his fins were also twitching he hid in a cave for awhile after that .

Hey Dflad, what all corals did your puffer like to snack on. As I have read thats its just softies and zoa's and palys really and the ornamental shrimp lol. Also lisa if you feed the dogface some squid and like oysters i think it is will keep the dogface fed and keep his teeth down some. Also what color dogface you going to get?

my dogface loves lobos, euphyllia, trachs etc...most LPS as well as zoas. That is it. I have a ton of montis, acros, leather corals etc in the tank. As well as GSP, xenia, and other soft corals.

I have a Papuan Epaulette shark in my reef (Hemiscyllium hallstromi). He is about 18" or so and very friendly. Only comes out at night though, otherwise you can't tell there's a shark in the tank.
