Keeping Perculas & Banggais together

Does anyone have any experience (or opinions) about keeping Perculas & Banggais together?

Specifically, a pair of Perc's and a single Banggai in a 58.

Should have no problems at all. Had that combo in a 75gallon a few years ago, they barely noticed each other...

I've had my pair of Clowns for over 4 years and my single Bang. Cardnal for over 2 years and they're completely fine with each other.

eh, I had an ocellaris chase my pair of bangaiis in a 34g so I took her out and swapped it for another (from another tank) and that one also chases. Hopefull when the go in the 90 they will be fine.

Hm, yeah, probably. That sounds like a territorial dispute over limited real-estate. Do you have lots of caves, nooks and crannies in your rockwork or no?

I had banggai with ocellaris do OK for the most part in our old tank. When the male banggai was carrying eggs, the female would get a little more aggressive towards the clowns. When the clownfish had eggs, the female would get a lot more aggressive towards the banggai.

None of the adults, but I think some of the banggai fry were taken out when the timing overlapped just right.

Ah, yeah, I'd expect low survival with either fry left in the tank.

Actually, I was shocked by how many of them survived. When we were being extra lazy, we'd periodically find a "new" adult sized banggai in the tank out of the blue.

I have a lot of LR but there are place to hide if they are really threatened. the bangaiis hide when I clean.

In my 120, I've had my mated pair of true perculas and banggai cardinal for nearly 4 years w/o any known incident. These 3 are the only fish that stay out in the open when the main lights go out/moonlight on but never seem to bother one another. Banggai with its huge eyes is naturally nocturnal and the clowns hover in the pom pom xenias.
