Hi,
I have read most of the threads on fairy and flasher wrasses and there are some good comments on this subject. In general, "reds" seem to hold their color better than "blues". Here are some specific questions about keeping these males fully colored for those reefers that have these wrasses:
Lineatus - I have read these seem to keep their color well. I had one in the past that stayed pretty nice. Any improvement in coloration if a female is kept with it?
Rhomboids - Never kept one of these, but do they need a female to stay brilliant? I beleive there are one or two people on here with larger tanks that have more than one male in the same tank even. Better than keeping a pair?
Flasher Wrasses - Hard to find females unless you get a pair off LA DD. I have Red Tail and Royal males. The Red Tail flashes at other fish sometimes, and looks great. Will they flash and color up more with only females of their species, or would a female of another flasher species still help?
I appreciate the input. It will help plan my stocking list.
Thanks,
