I have been following along since the beginning of this thread and still have not started on my tank lol. But, I have almost all of the equipment and will be ordering base rock in teh next couple of weeks.
One question though, on my AGA 37g there is a center brace on top of the tank. It doesnt look like yours has one. Did you remove it or did it just not come with one?

The brace on mine is a flexible "strap" attached to the trim front and back. I am assuming it tightens up if there is any bow in the glass. I am debating on cutting it out and replacing with a piece of acrylic. I am afraid the MH light would make the strap eventually crack, but I am also afraid to take it off completely.

Any suggestions? I can add a pic if needed.

And....how do you like the lights after they have been up and running? I am about to pick up a 75g that will also be put together later, but really want to do this 37 first.

Awesome, thanks!

And that looks easier than what I was going to do....cut it right at the brace and then glue in acrylic.

Here are a couple updated pics:

I have added more corals since these pics. I will try to get better pics at some point.

Looking great I really like the corals that you have so far, especially the devils hand. I have never seen one of those for sale but if I do I might just have to pick one up.

They are very cool. In the pic above, it is kind of closed up. The thing is huge when it's all opened. They are generally available at least where I live. This one was given to me by a member of my reef club.

!!! I remember that devils hand!! Glad to see its still doing good. Awesome tank that thing looks awesome!

:D That thing is HUGE and going great. The pics above he is still closed up but when open it must be 8 inches across. It's a great centerpiece! :D Thanks again!

Tank is doing REALLY well.

Here is the old image:

The Devil's hand that is under the fire fish in this image had to be removed because it outgrew my tank.

The small toadstool that is a couple inches across in that image was also removed. That thing grew to be about 6-7 inches in less than a year.

The four little cream colored trumpet coral heads are now green and over 12 heads. The torch now has 3 heads on it and the blue shrooms are multiplying so fast I am cutting them out of my tank. :D One of these days I'll take an undated image and post it up!
