Kent Marine's Phosphate Sponge?

I tried this stuff and it made my tank cloudy. I have no clue what I'm doin. Does anyone have input on the sponge. I put it in the sump with the drain from the tank splashing on it.

My tank is also loaded with aptiesia . I keep trying to kill them with the kalk but as fast as I kill the little buggers they multiply times four. I got tiny ones every where. So I bought 6 Pepermint shrimp. Thats not working!

Did you rinse it before using? That's usually going to reduce the dust a lot. A lot of people seem to use RowaPhos, Salifert Phosphate Killer, and the GFO products.

im using phosphate sponge too. it does make the water cloudy. but i rinse mine before putting in the sump.
