Kent Tech M vs Bryopsis

I have had a few patches of bryopsis pop up. I have used Tech M twice to battle it. And both times it took two applications and then wait a few days and BAM gone. Nothing bad happened to my tank at all.

I doesd 7 mil today my mag was 1200 now it 1300 im gonna bring it to 1600 and maintain it there to the bryopsis is gone

When I had bryopsis I dosed enough to raise mag 100/day up to 1600 also it worked great for me with no ill effects

My experiences using it with success were that I only needed to use the product, I did not try for a target Mg #, just used it.

Took no more than a week to wipe it out in any of the 4 cases I've used it.

I just filled a syringe with the Tech M and killed my powerheads and return pump. Waited til the water was calm and squirted the Tech M (man really should be Tech 9 lol) directly onto the bryopsis. I then waited around 15 mins and restarted the pumps. Did that once a day for two days then stopped and BAM gone in four to five days.

after almost 3 years without bryopsis, it has made it's way back into my tank. Just received 2 gallons of tech M. Hoping for the same results!

Thanks for this thread. Battling some bryopsis and just ordered some of this and a mag test kit as well as a phosphate reactor - hope I get the same results

Not sure about the emerald crabs going after bryopsis. Might be specific to that certain emeralds? The Tech M worked x 2 different times for me.

I am battling bryopsis myself now :( I don't feel like spending $20 on a Magnesium test kit, so do you think I could just get by by dosing a few ml a day? Or should I dish out the 20 for a tester :(

I also have two tanks I need to treat. A coralife biocube 29 and biocube 14. How much kent tech m magnesium should i buy?

Anything you dose you should always measure. Spend the money on a test kit
