kent vs phosban reactors

Which reactor is the better one? They look to be about the same price. I currently use a phosban reactor, but want a second one so I can run carbon and phosban in two different reactors.

the kent are probably made a little bit better.........the TLF are designed a little bit better even though the plumbing is flimsy its easier to use and fit in more places without modding.

personally, Id buy the TLF but it really doesnt matter a whole lot

Why is the kent harder to fit in a small space? This will make a big difference for me.

its not harder...its the same size...it is hard plumbed with less flexibility in where the inputs and outputs come from and go. no big deal...you can easily cut it and change this, but the TLF comes soft plumbed to begin with without having to cut anything....as well as if I recall corrrectly the TLF comes with a valve the kent does not.....

from the lid down they are more or less the exact same unit.....

I have the Kent model, using it as a HOB. I think they both are the same quality, but I thought the Kent model looked better on the back of my tank.

FWIW I had both brands. I like the soft connections of the TLF unit better. Very easy to disconnect when cleaning/refilling. JMO.

Ahh, I didn't think about them disconnecting differently. Thanks for the tip. I will be working in a small space that is about 6" deep.

TLF all the way!! Ive used both and the newest TLF one is by far the eaisest to work with. I had problems with the kent reactors discharge tube breaking. Also, that valve that comes with the TLF is basically a necessity.
