My kenya tree coral has changed it's color.looks somewhat powdered. I dont know what wrong with it.
Its a well settled tank with some other corals too. I do water changes every alternate weekends.
And supply strontium, iodine and calcium every 4 days. Pls help me. I read thae water which we add to the tank must be of the same temp as ifth water in the ank. But i just dont do it. I just add water (distilld)which is at the room temp.what shud i do immediately to make my coral beter. And is itanythingto do with my other corals,I mean will it spread to my other corals

I doubt you're changing the temp just by topping off. More likely you have something off. Test the water...cant do anything without knowing what your parameters are at....

nitrate, nitrite/amonia, salt level, temp??? Corals immediately next to it?

need more info

There is no reason to supply either iodine or strontium and if you are you may be over dosing the tank and as stated we need to know all of your parameters cal/ alk/ mag/ ph/ salinity/ and nitrates as minimums, your signature also states the reef is only a few weeks old and if that is true at best you should only have a clean up crew in there, it would also help to know what size tank and what type of lighting flow etc, this is a hobby that requires patience as nothing but bad things happen fast in a reef aquarium

Kenya trees are very hearty corals. If yours is dying, then you need to take a closer look at your parameters, as others have suggested.

I would keep a close eye on your salinity, if your topping off your system I would think that the swings in salinity would absolutly make any corals shrink up. I would invest in a RO unit with a float valve in a sump to your system. That would eliminate the salinity problem for good. I do agree about overdosing, ecspecialy if you don't have a tone of corals to utilize all of those chemicals.
