on these new fixtures i have one question.if you turn the spectrum all the way to being blue and turn the intensity all the way up does the fixture run at 90watts.i dont see how if you dont have all the leds turned on.now if ya had the specturm turned all the way up and intensity then the fixture should be runing at 90 watts does this make sense.

Yes, that is True.

Keep in mind that Kessil has a New LED Fixture coming out soon.

Here you go and yes it's not 90watt if your only doing blue.

well there is 42 leds running at 2 watts each from what i was reading on there web site.so if you used all the leds and ran full intensity i could see that but if ya run only blue and i dont know how many blue leds are in there you would have to overdrive them or something to get the full 90watts of power cause your not useing the white leds.maybe i will call kessil and have them explain it.

Perhaps they are like the RGB LED Lights and change color letting you use all of them.

I've got 6 A360W's and two kill-a-watts, so I can perhaps be of some use here...

The Full blue/Full intensity sits at about 48W. Full white/Full Intensity is somewhere about 65W. Balanced is somewhere around 85W.

Make of this what you will, but them's the numbers.

At some point in the next few minutes/hours/days/never I need to plug my new DC6000 into the kill-a-watt and see what it consumes too, but I'm lacking in motivation right now.

that sound right i talked to a rep at kessil today and thats what he told me.all full blue at full intensity is around 45w and full spectrum with full intensity is around 90watts.i knew you couldnt have full 90watts with only the blues running thats ok i just turn both the blues and white on my 350 equal amounts and watch my corals react to let me know how intense i should run my lights.

Hmm. I really thought that was one of their selling points on the 360s to be able to get full power with one color. Bummer

Yeah now it does not seem worth it to get an A360.

Unless you are using 2 or More of them so you can Daisy Chain them or use an Apex.

I would be doing neither of those.

I use an apex and plan to buy two more for my tank. I have 2 350w and 1 360w now.

Do you notice that the A350 is more "Blue" while the A360 looks "Purple"

I saw them side by side and that was the first thing that I thought.

Did you notice the same thing?

i read some other post complaining that the 350s are two blue but if i turn up my 350 all the way up its more white than anything.if i have my blues turned all the way up and i dont even get to half way on the whites and i loose any blue i had before in my tank.

Steve its hard to tell because I have the 360 on a ramp cycle to really tell. However I can tell there is a difference between the two but not that one is better than the other. I would say that the 360 is less blue but not sure if was more purple. I like the 360 and will be getting two more if I can sell my 2 350w The 350s rock but I like controlling on the apex and the ramp.
