Was wondering if one of these would be able to light a 45g tank and the corals still like it. i have been posting alot of things about lighting because i want to change just dont know which one.

Hope to see you get some answers here. I'm wondering if I could get away with one of these over a JBJ nano cube 28 for all corals including SPS and clams.

I think in your case you'll probably get more answers if you specify a couple of things.

Dimensions of the tank?

What kind of corals are you interested in keeping?

I would think you'd need 2 of them in a 45 gal. but I'm really not qualified to answer. I'm just getting back into the hobby after 6-7 years off and LED was pretty much unheard of for aquariums when I got out of it.

28gallon is perfect for one!! :{)

And I would be placeing it right I'n the center of my tank. Even if it doesn't light the tank evenly. I am wanting to make one tower I'n the middle of the tank with may be 2 sps at top ,zoanthids and softies all I'n the middle column. So would I be able to place one I'n the middle and still have good lighting. I think the look of the two aides of the tank being dim and the center bright. Also my tank is 16-18 deep 36in length :)

If you search kessil a150 on google image there's a guy who has posted 3 or pics of one running in his tank which probably has similar dimentions as yours. Might not be a 10,000K but it may give you an idea of how it would look. Not sure how it may affect the livestock you'd be able to have though.
