Kessil AP 700 Owners Gather Here!

Cool. Just asking because I can't seem to get that with the 360's, they don't really have that glow in the dark effect.

The AP700s have the 380-420 LEDs that really give you that pop. They look great, you will love them.

Have you seen pictures I've posted?

What is the issues your are having? Have you checked for pests?

I posted growth pictures since I moved my tank. In just the last month once everything has gotten stable my corals have really done well. Their growth and coral all indicate success for me. I don't know what's others expectations.

Anyone have word on the new firmware? It was supposed to be released "two weeks" ago. But Kessil doesn't seem very keen on deadlines.

SPS slowly die, LPS slowly die unless target fed. GSP on my overflow grows like a weed. Zoas do pretty well as well before plateauing. When I say slowly I mean over the course of several months.

I was only aware of a firmware update that somebody posted here. Is there more than one beta going on?

No official release date of any update has been announced. The PC version should be starting beta testing soon.

What version do you use?

Last lights were AI blue sol set at 60% now where would o start with ap700?

30%, increase 5% each week. I would not exceed 70% unless you have a PAR meter or go with 1-2% weekly increments.
I have a 7 hour peak but you should start with a 3-4 hour peak and slowly increase it.

How high are you mounting the lights?

So I found a bug in the light and forwarded it on to Kessil, but figured I'd post it here in case any of you experience it.

When testing my new light I noticed that the Red Lunar Lights often wouldn't come on when selected. Both in the manual effects mode and when simulating a lunar schedule. Blue worked fine.

Well, long story short, I figured out that if the PRIOR setting of the light has any amount of red in it (and I mean very little, less than is visible), then the red moonlights will work when switched to. For example, if you go to manual color and are in sky blue, then go to effects and pick red lunar light it shouldn't work. But if you go back to manual color and change your sky blue to include, say, 20 red, now when you go back over to effects the red lunar lights will work. Same goes if you add a little red to your final color point in your timeline.

Anyone else experience this? Since I have been able to reproduce the problem consistently, I doubt it is an issue with my specific light. I emailed Kessil and they said they are going to test it out in their lab. I prefer the red moonlights so would love it to be fixed.

Haha, I have not experienced that. I'm glad you have forwarded it to Kessil so they can get that fixed.
I guess I haven't really "tested" the light. I set it and forget it. Never had any issues but then I'm not doing anything crazy or too complicated. So I'm not demanding a lot from it, just grow my damn corals. For that I have to say in the last month I have now proof that these AP700s both grow acros but also produce great colors. I will have to do more photo documentation so I can share it. I am self conscious though because my display has come a bit over run with aiptasia.

This is a new batch of acros I got in yesterday. I will try to document their progress.

Set up ap700 tonight shimmer world looking good, program was easyish not sure I got it right but it will work till I can put a better one together n paper. Max out at 30 %. Only thing not thrilled with is won't go less than 10%. Will see how timer runs

Not sure if it's a bug but is it common for 1 bulb/eye/matrix to shutoff before the other when operating at low %?

Yes. Normal. Kessil has mentioned that the issue will be fixed with updates soon.
