Did you open, connect, preview schedule, then save?

I don't know what it is about this process exactly but that's exactly what they instructed me to do it.

Yea that was the event this morning at 440 am. I'll keep any eye on it this weekend. My PAR meter shows clean performance through the day, so it's nothing to worry about.. just an oddity.

What meter do you have? I'm getting a PMK tomorrow. I would like to compare notes.

Today I did some readings with my new PMK, the results where surprising for 2 reasons. First, I was really surprised how much my two 60" T5s added to the PAR. Second, I am blown away by how well the AP700 illuminates the whole tank just as well as the T5s.

AP700 @ 50%, T5s ON: I have ~300 PAR all around at the outside edge at sand bed

AP700 @ 50%, T5s OFF: I have ~180 PAR all around at the outside edge at sand bed

I will be taking more readings tomorrow.

How high are the lights mounted and can you post pics?
 
Having problems with my ap700 running programs. I am using the iPad app. I can setup the program and preview it but when you save it just goes back to the last setting and stay there??? Any ideas!

I also got my PMK yesterday and took some readings. I got 35-73 around the outside edge of the sand bed with the light at 50% mounted 13" about water

Make sure you are indeed running program. Have you checked you app and firmware version? You could try reconnecting the lights.

That's about right, you are twice as high as me, how wide is your tank?

I had problems using my iPad as well. So I used my iPhone and works perfectly.
 
For you guys that supplement your AP 700's with T5s, what color bulbs do you use? I'm thinking of adding a two bulb retrofit kit to brighten up the back and front (one bulb in back and one in front) and was wondering what T5 bulb color to use (ATI or Giessman).

I use the ATI Blue Plus, love it. The Aquablue special if you want a whiter look.

Anybody have any rainbow acans? Just wondering if they are staying rainbow or changing to orange/red under the ap700. I have an Acan that started as yellow that is now orange.
