Kessil AP 700 Owners Gather Here!

Thought I would share I little more info on my setup.

2- 5 foot ati 4 bulb standard power module
Bulb combo is per fixture
2 blue plus
1 purple plus
1 coral plus

The AP700 are in the center. ATI's are front and rear.

Started off around 60% at first... Burned a lot of corals
Dropped to 30% and raised 5% per month.
I max my ap700 at 60% as of now.
And as far as red/green. I only add a little in the morning and evening. All midday is standard kessil color settings.
Thinking of taking it up again once I balance the tank a little more.

I'm at 70% no T5s and I've tried several times to up it. Doesn't get a good response. I've concluded that 70% is all I'll ever need, corals color and grow well. My Par readings start at 200 in the corner sandbed. If your at 60, with T5s. I would stay there, don't mess with a good thing.

I just bought an A160WE for my nano and have noticed something pretty weird. At night with my AP700 I run Deep Ocean Blue (basically 0% on the whites)....but on the A160 when I go as blue as it can go it is not nearly as "pure" of an Actinic. Anyone else ever notice this color difference? Since the tanks are in the same room (our living room so they are both on display) it looks pretty strange. Probably going to return it and hope that the A80 is more similar to the AP700.....thoughts???

The technology in the A160 is probably 4 or 5 years old. I would expect some difference in color blending.

Nope. Only running AP700s. No need for T5s.

Don't see any need for T5, however if my display becomes completely full of SPS acros and I've got too much shadowing I'll consider it. My 2 AP700 cover my 180 just fine.

Just moved again, last month. Hopefully for the last time for a while. This will finally let me grow out my corals, and get my tangs. Still plan to add a powder blue to this mix

Can't get Program to work

Can't get Program to work

Anyone else having issues getting the lamps to actually use the program I set up. Isn't it set it and forget it? I turn on the program the lights turn on bright then never change. They just stay on whatever setting it was at when I turn on the program and they don't run it. So frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated.

I never had that problem. Is the light updated? Are you running the iPad or iPhone app? Email or call them?
