I put this over my 30 gl breeder.

I know it's a lot of light but the Kessils just weren't doing a good job that almost every one talks about. The ATI has 6 bulbs and the difference in my corals are night and day. I'm in the process still with Kessil trying to find out what's going on with my light.

One kessil isnt enough light and is set up way too low. The ATI is perfect, hung high so corals will defintely respond better.

You would need to get another kessil and hang them both high to have better spread, but will not do better than the T5's, regardless

Please elaborate?
How does your corals react?

Actually a lot better than I thought. My Zoanthidson are not stretching for the light anymore they are all matted down opened mushrooms are opening wider my nems are fat and happy.

I know that one isn't enough light, i bought the one a360w to see how I would like the light. Although I like everything about the kessil the corals I'm not so sure. They are within the 2 foot lighting range. I played with the hight, color and intensity and where I have it now is the best for the corals. It's 9" off the top of the water the color is set at 25 and the intensity is at 100.

IMO: corals grow better/faster under T5, sell/look better under LED.

Kessil is best for it's shimmer. no other LED can match it. Certainly not the ATI. But Kessil need more than recommended amount to grow coral.

I have the hybrid powermodule as my main light. Going to mount the old Kessil as supplement just for its shimmer.

with your tank's height, the 6bulb will grow anything

Yeah you're right about the kessils having great shimmer. But when it comes to growth in don't see it at all the corals look like they are just getting by. But the Kessils give you the great colors out of the corals.
