Kessil Control

Meaning I don't have to the splice the power cord on my Kessil? I'd rather not so it can keep its value.

Then go buy yourself the connector at radio shack. Theres enough hot wiring going on with other controller makes so should not stop you doing a bit with GHL.

You seem very pro Apex Raul been through many of your posts, all your posts on here so far have been trying to show apex is better than GHL ProfiLux, (which we have proven the opposite) So forgive me if I sound a bit curious to the reason to these posts when so pro to other makes?

I'm not pro anyone, I have a Profilux. But it's frustrating to the see your competitor offer plug-and-play connections for all the latest equipment, while for Profilux the user needs to do it their self using the same card.

Please look outside the box. GHL offers way more features, some want plug and play some want access to DIY. There is no plug and play for Jabao on the other controller you mentioned its DIY hot wire.

GHL offers far more options to DIY and proprietary connections than any other controller

PLM-ADIN
PLM-Dali
LPF-AP
EVG Card
PLM-PWM
LED control-1
LED control-4 (PWM control)
Vortech controller
TMC LED control
Pacific sun control
Ai control
Tunze control
Eheim control
Hydor control
and more.....

All these cards offer the user an array of options to make a mass of third party options work with their controller plus a host of proprietaries. GHL can not go round every make of every device asking them to work with GHL. GHL are very selective to who they allow to make proprietary connections as their reliability is key to their success and too many times we have seen badly wired parts (one LED unit comes to mind a few years back that killed several ProfiLux's) So GHL quite rightly are very cautious.

So the policy is more a case of "we will make the ability" the end user makes the connection, unless they work directly with the manufacturer as listed above.

THAT being said, I am in communication with Kessil about a proprietary cable

I understand why you'd avoid Jebao, that makes sense. But I'd really like a cable for the Kessil. I mean they're one of the top in the industry, as are GHL - so it makes sense.

I understand this, unfortunately public forums are often seen as ways to put pressure on manufacturers to comply with a certain option one person may require. For a manufacturer and myself we can feel a bit pressured when they feel they are being pushed in public forums over a couple of threads for one connection to one device by one person so I am sorry if I come across a bit defensive. Just because another controller has it does not mean GHL can or will be pressured into having it, they have their own road map, that does not mean they wont of course.

Honestly in the years Kessil has been around we may have had 3 requests globally for a connection. when cables have to be made in the hundreds for any form of viable link there has to be a demand, currently there simply is not that demand to make a GHL cable for this, we would need to see demand in the hundreds globally to make this any sense. If Kessil wish to make it then thats different. So GHL offer DIY options for those that do want it.

Remember GHL make their own LED units this is their focus for GHL clients to have GHL controllers with GHL lamps.

So to use the Kessil. I'd need the EVG card.

Splice the power.
Then I would also use the Apex to Kessil connection, splice that it should have 2 0-10V connections that would be spliced into the two 0-10V connectors on the board? That way I can control both color and intensity?

The box version of the EVG is available here or specialorder? It looks neater, so that would help.

EVG card is ideal for retrofit like I did with my T5/MH fixture, but it looks unsightly and dangerous [water splash] outside.

The EVG card does not come in a box. its a stand alone circuit board. there is no inbox option for EVG

LPF-AP is a simple junction box it has no AC controlling features but it is in a box.

I see, the LPF-AP just controls the 10V without needing to splice the power cord. This is what I wanted all along. It needs to be special ordered or AquaCave carries it?
