Kessil lights where to buy.

Just for kicks are you putting this over the 60 gal cube? I tried one of these out and did not like it, bought a hydra and love it just my opinion. I think Aquatica might have them in stock.

I had a few issues with the light, which were mostly personal preference I think. First I really was not that impressed with the spread of the light. Dont get me wrong it is a fantastic light but I felt that I needed the intensitiy to be crank majority of the way up to spread out over the tank correctly with the blue I was looking for. Also the shadow effect, which is awesome to see, made for some really dark parts of the tank and depending on your tank's aquascape it could be kind of a nuasiance. My biggest issue though was controllablity. Unless you have a RK or an APEX with the ALC or VDM you cannot control the light, which is what the w360 was created for. If you do have the RK or APEX the module need to run it will be about another $70 - 80. Lastley the gooseneck did not make for a clean look. I have my tank in the living room and it just looked sloppy on the tank, I actually agreed with my wife on this one. Again, this is just my opinion of the light. I have seen beautiful tanks using them, but it just was not for me. I would recomend seeing one in use in person to judge for yourself before buying one though.

Reef Plus in North Aurora carries them. Steve is a great guy to deal with too. I haven't been there in awhile due to work. People definitely love or hate the look of the Kessils. I loved mine on 60 cube. The color was perfect to my eyes, the shimmer effect is huge, and my aquascape didn't make the shadows a problem. I agree with everything Bulldog0407 says about them, but for me they were great!!

Just wanted to clarify that if you have the Full Apex vs the Lite or Jr you don't need the VDM module to control them. The Full Apex comes with ports built in that can control the light.

Ok thanks. I you tubed them to get somewhat a look at it. But I placed the order already with aquacave just gonna take a ride tomorrow morning and pick it up.got the 360aw

I just received my Kessil 360Wa yesterday gonna try these out but it's for my frag tanks which aren't as deep as my 60G cube.
