The tanks that I have seen running them with success are using more than the recommended amount. A good friend of mine switched from an ATI fixture to 3 Kessils on his 5 foot 110 gallon tank. All his softies and most of his LPS did well, but all and I mean all his SPS browned out. Change in coloration is expected after any change in lighting, but even after 3 months the only color he could get to come back was green. When talking with Kessil they suggested he add two more to get better coverage, he sold them all and went to Ecotech Radions and couldnt be more happier about that decision. So yes I have seen tanks successful with them , but just be prepared to run more than originally planned. The new 350's are out, that might be a better option but they are unproven at this point.
