keyhole angel ?

I have just bought a keyhole angel from my lfs. they said he is reef safe, but I've been researching and I'm getting a little nervous. I have a 46 gal. sps dominated (it also has alot of zoas and some lps) and I'm going to be moving it all to a 125 over the next few months. Do I have anything to be worried about? Does anyone have experience with this fish that can give me some good advise?

Your SPS have the best chance of being left alone. Zoos and LPS have the least chance of being left alone, so yes I would say you have a little to worry about, but just keep an eye on it. Not every angel picks on coral.

It was a trade in fish and I know it didn't bother the last guys lps. . .I'm really only worried about my zoas. I used to have a coral beauty that ate all my orange bambams, and now I have a colony of 50-70 heads along with 13 other small to large colonies. . .Thanks for the reply. Hopefully he's nice. . .

I was just given a Keyhole Angel and so far he's only nipped at one of my SPSs. I'm hoping with heavy feeding (I have a good skimmer) that he won't bother them anymore.

I have had two for about 1 1/2 years in a reef tank (everything minus tridacna), and so far, no picking from either. Good luck.

Not reef Safe, but not many fish are really..
Same as most other Dwarf angel/Centropyge species, abot 50/50. LPS more at risk. Be aware though, Keyholes get pretty good size. Could do a lot of damage when older.

He's been in there for over a day and a half and I haven't seen him nip anything yet. all my corals (sps, lps, zoas, mushrooms) are still there and my crocea clam still looks happy. . .Will he be less likely to nip or eat corals in my 125 than in my 46?

I don't think tank size is a factor. How much they are fed and the whims of the fish seem to be the biggest factors.
