Currently using Kick Ich
I am not very impressed what what I've seen so far. I'm now up to day number 11 and did the the bad infection treatment.
Corals all started showing signs of stress by day 5, and all looked like they were about to die by day 7. Most were no longer coming out at all or barely. I had to pull all my corals out of my tank and take them to my friends house. He put them in his fuge and they all came back except my Xenia.
So as far as it being reef safe, I have heard some having success with it, I for one can tell you. I have used the product and if I didn't pull my corals out, they would have all died.
As far as the effect of treating the tank.. Since the Ich outbreak I have added a 500gallon UV Sterilizer(270gph, in a 120g tank), feed fish with Garlic food 2x a day, Vitachem once a day, Selcon once a week, and am using Kich Ich and all my fish look good except for my blue hip tang. However some of the fish are still showing signs of ich because of their behavior like scratching etc..
So as of right now, I do not feel the product is doing much of anything in my tank. I followed the instructions perfectly, and have not noticed a real noticeable improvement. I am going to continue treatment with it however, as it's not hurting my inverts and/or fish. I am going to do an extra treatment on Day 12, then do a treatment on day 15, and again on day 17. Let the tank sit for a week and then reevaluate my situation.l
Hope this helps with your decision.
