KidReefers 40 breeder sps build

Sorry for the late replies!

Good talking to you too John. Can't wait for your build, but don't sweat it if it doesnt happen soon. And I think I am just going with a dip like you suggested. Ill look into TLF revive.

Krshlln300 that is a great idea! I usually just use my eyes but this would make inspection a lot easier!

Hey kidreefer, hows the 40 breeder working out? Havent seen any updates. Here's mine now its a fully running reef

Wow sponger0 the tank is looking awesome!! I like the two arches of the rockwork and when those sps grow out, it is going to be sick!!, very nice!!

As for my tank everything is doing well, I went to barebottom and the tank has been running fairly stable(except for the loss of the monti-digi). I do not have any new additions. Also, I am not receiving the growth I would like to see in my corals and many of the corals have changed colors from my last update. This probably due to my T5 lights and the change from the previous owners lights. I am going to start dosing two- part regularly to try and receive better growth. Pics are on their way!!

cool did you keep the bulbs at the same height when you changed them from the original? That could be why some of the color faded. The corals may have gotten skicked by increased intensity.

I worded what I had said wrong. I did not change the bulbs on my lights. The change I was referring to was the change from the lights the person who I had bought the coral from to my T5s. I believe the owner had them under metal halides.

Here are the pictures!! finally

Looking Great Kid! You should be really proud of what you've achieved so far! As a pointer when posting pics, it seem like you may be taking too many steps. When using images from photobucket, all you need to do is click on the IMG code link under the picture and paste that right into your post. You don't need to use the insert image function when posting pics. All that will do is put an extra set of IMG tags around your pic that show up on your posts.. As an example of the correct format.... it should look like this when writing your posts... I removed the beginning and ending bracket so that it would not post the pic.. just add those back and voila!!!

Great Job young young man!

Wow man looking really good. Great job. All that coraline on the back wall is a good sign for sure, and in a short amount of time. Nice going BB. I just did to my 75G a few weeks ago, I fell it keeps the tank cleaner.

Your tank is looking great young man and I am very proud the fact that your wealth of knowledge is pretty good. Keep up with the good work and soon you will have lovely SPS tank.

All the best.

Tahir
