Killing bad anenomes

Whats the best way to kill nusence anenomes? I have had a few people tell me to inject them with things such as a calcium concentrate. I got some hypodermic needles from the pharmacy today but didnt want to do anything before i got your opinions. Whats the best way to deal with this?

If you are talking about glass anemones or Aiptasia, then kalk paste will work. Otherwise, pick up some Joe's Juice from your LFS.

pickling lime also works,comes in awder,mix it to a toothpaste consistancy,be sure not to get it on corals,clams,or anything really.

I used a couple of peppermint shrimp to eat the Aiptasia in my tank. The great thing about them is that they will also eat all of the Aiptasia I can't see.

I had a couple. One one, I pulled the rock out, squirted it with boiling water, and put it back in the tank. With the other, I just broke off the piece of rock that it was on--it was on the very edge of the LR.

You have to watch which peppermint shrimp you get. they all dont eat aptasia. I belive only the shrimp from the keys are the ones your looking for. i have never had good luck with these guys.

How would you know if they come from the Keyes or not? Would the store always know? I need to get some.

i know both peppermint shrimp i got from two different LFS's were spot on, i now have zero aiptasia, only took about a month for it to happen too
