Killing mushrooms

I have a couple straggler mushrooms that I need to get rid of in my tank.

I have heard that joe's juice will kill them, but I was wondering how it does this (like dissolves them?), and if there is anything remaining after this that I would need to epoxy over.

Anyone have experience with this??

If you feed them enough joes juice they will shrivel and die or let go of the rock, then you can just grab em. atleast this works on my green hairys

i have heard it does wonders for mushrooms..

sw-addict - i need to inject it straight into the mouth correct?? like how much are we talking about here?

i've heard of joes juice before but i've never used it. i used a home made kalk paste which does wonders to anything alive. ever the slightest will start to desolve it.

I just melted a few nuisance rhodactis mushroom with kalk paste.
Just put it in a Plastic syringe from a Red Sea test kit and put it on like frosting a cake. After about 10 minutes turned the PHs back on and used a turkey baster to flush the rest off.

just turn off the flow in your tank so its calm and put like a pea sized amount on the shroom, let it sit until it expells its inards and turn flow back on tank. works for me about 90-95% of the time.

does it dissolve the mushroom?? or kill it and then it falls off??

i only ask because i have class some days and i don't want to put the joes juice on it, let it sit, and then go to class and the shroom has floated around the tank. if it dissolves in place, that would be great!

either it will disolve into some stringy slime that your filtration should get, (or use a turkey bayster to suck it out.) It may just let go of the rock and won't be latching onto anything for a few days.
