Kind of anemone??

The only kind of anemone I've heard of with a blue foot is a Heteractis Magnifica. But finding them with a blue foot is pretty uncommon, and finding them healthy is almost as rare.

Could you provide more details? Like the size, or how do the tentacles look (short, long, bubbly, pointed, etc)? Does it move around, or is it stationary? If it doesn't move, how is it settled? In the sand, on a rock, in a hole in a rock?

OR a halfway decent pic would make this all VERY easy. I would SERIOUSLY recommend the picture approach.

I am sorry but if you cannot provide a good picture, then you cannot be help.

Your question is like what model is my car? It is blue with 4 doors. We can eliminate some car model right off the bat but that is it.

Oh, and BTW, welcome to RC!!!

Thank you very much for your reply... Ive only had this for maybe a week... it stayed on the rock, but seems like the sand is the new spot. Short tentacles..very sticky ..just dont know what kind of carpet it is. How do I post a picture?

Well, I can only open the top half of the second pic... As far as I can see it looks like a maxi mini carpet, or maybe a flower anemone. The scientific names are S. Tapetum and E. Crucifer. But the one you have is in REALLY bad shape either way. And I've never seen one of either kind with a blue foot.

bad shape? what picture did u see? this thing gets big and goes small

OK, I took a screenshot and then posted that, thinking it was the file OP posted. But I think RC is acting up cuz mine doesn't load either.

I disagree with Bradley. From the 1/2 of the second picture, I think it is a S. gigantea that is doing poorly and all bleached.
If it is a Gigantea, It should have light blue foot faded to white on top of the column. Mid and top part of the column should have color spots either pink or purple from top of the column to mid of the column.
Am I right?

It has no tears.. Very acttive.. What should I feed it? Small chunk of shrimp? Just curious can u give it a small piece of caned tuna? Just drain tuna well...
