I just purchased one Kissel LED A150W for my 56g tank....this one did not come with the adjustment knobs on the fixture to dial the lights where you want. Does that mean i can just turn the light on, hang over my tank and all is good? Why does some have the dials and this one not? Live fish store never said anything about it??

please help

thanks

The Kessil A150 lights do not have adjustments. They are just on or off. The new A160 do have adjustment knobs for spectrum and intensity.

Hey Bear, correct when you plug them in they just turn on or off. They are not dimmable rather just one color which is why they sell this light in different light spectrum's. I didn't buy the light for that reason. I wanted the flexibility of being able to change from actinics to daylight. Kessil JUST came out with the new A160 which has 2 knobs similar to the A360 . 1 Knob allows you to adjust the intensity and the 2nd knob allows you to adjust the color spectrum. Kessil also sells a controller for $99 that allows you to control everything with the controller. I just received my a160 today in the mail! Can't wait to go home and test it out =-)

Let me know your thoughts on the a160. I just got 3 for my FOWLR tank but haven't set them up yet.

tell me how they work for you Im really interested and am thinking about picking one up myself.

ok great!
thanks for the information.

however, does it matter that I do not have the option to control the lighting with the knobs or if I like it how it is just go with it as is all the time? I guess I dont need the option to control the spectrum etc, if it is not offered for that light...I liked the Ocean Blue so it should probably work fine, right?
