Kole Tang in need of an attitude adjustment???

Understanding each fish is different. Anyone else dealing with Kole Tang anger issues? Can understand the Kole having some issues with the Starry Blenny...Ignores the Copperband & 12 line wrasse. Has bothered a pyramid butterfly, blue spotted gobie & gold rush maroon clown. Radiant Wrasse died last night. Eye was hemoraging...can only assume the Tang is at fault based off of the aggression seen elsewhere.

Have I missed anything? 150 tank, 30 sump, 35 refugium...

Appreciate your feedback.

Were any of the fish added after the tang? Mine will bow up at a few fish at feeding and right before the lights go off, but nothing too bad at all...

If you can, relocate the tang to the sump for a week, or two, then add him back to the display....

Weird they typically aren't that aggressive...

Agreed. Mine will keep my wrasses in check with a quick chase, but it never amounts to anything more. Might be time to give yours a little time out in the sump if you can catch him.

my only bothers the diamond back goby but it is not much more than chasing it when food is around. it did bother the copper band when first added (the copper was added after the kole) but now they dont even look at each other.

try feeding more? i feed my at least 2x/day with quality frozen or home made mix (selcon, freez dried spirulina shrimp, salmon, halibit, shrimp, brine shrimp eggs, algae extreme pellets, reefroids, reef chili). i think the extra feeding with higher quality food keeps all the fish mellow. I am especially pleased with the kole tang. you can see the deep & dark blue around the outer edge of his fins as well as around the lips. it is faint but a beautiful deep, dark blue. if you dont see it on your kole, i suggest higher quality foods
