Kole Tang

OK I brought home a yellow eye kole tang and it doesn't seem interested in food of the store bought variety...eats off rock and glass though......should I be concerned and what can I use to swap it over????

Bristle tooth tangs can take several weeks before they accept prepared foods. I wouldn't be concerned just yet.

Don't worry. He will come around. My kole tang is a pig. He races around as fast as he can gobbling everything. I guess he doesn't want to share. I just wish he would eat more algae. He does pick at the rocks & keeps my glass nice & clean.

I love kole tangs!!! I would expect the fish to start eating. Place nori in the tank on a clip. For future reference, make sure you see a fish eat before buying one.

I wouldnt be concerned just yet.

Give it a few days.

Although the kole isnt the most finicky of eaters, keep an eye on it.

Grab a small bit of rock and wrap some nori around it, that way while he is picking at rocks he'll hopefully swim past the nori rock and start nibbling.
